Hello and Thank You For Your Interest in Spot-Free Floor Care!

This is Larry Kruse, owner of Spot-Free Floor Care, I wanted to update you about Coronavirus protocols I am implementing to safeguard your family and mine during this pandemic…

1. Yes, We ARE Open!

First, I have been getting some calls and the first thing I get asked is “are you guys open?”. So, yes, my company is definitely open during this crazy time to help residences and businesses stay as clean as possible. We have definitely slowed down A LOT from our usual spring-cleaning “rush”, so if you are thinking of getting your floors cleaned during this time but you’re worried about Coronavirus, read on to see the protocols I am implementing.

As an essential business under guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure Security Agency (“CISA”), I continue to operate my residential and commercial carpet / floor / upholstery cleaning business during these uncertain times.

The Memorandum on Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers, which provides guidance to both State and Local jurisdictions, and the Private Sector defines Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers in the Public Works Section as:

“Workers such as plumbers, electricians, exterminators, and other service providers who provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences.”

I understand that many of my customers have questions about my services and the steps I am taking to ensure their safety and mine. I am actively monitoring communications from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), the World Health Organization (“WHO”), and federal agencies to ensure I am operating consistent with the latest guidance to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2 , the cause of COVID-19.

According to the CDC, cleaning is the necessary first step of any disinfection process. Cleaning removes organic matter, salts, and visible soils, all of which interfere with microbial inactivation. The physical action of scrubbing with detergents and surfactants and rinsing with water removes substantial numbers of microorganisms. If a surface is not cleaned first, the success of the disinfection process can be compromised. For more information about the critical importance of cleaning, I encourage you to visit the CDC for more information on how to Properly Clean Your Home.

2. Protocols I am Implementing During Coronavirus

Yes, my company IS open, BUT I have implemented the following protocols to mitigate the risk associated with Coronavirus…

Most importantly – If I am sick at all or anyone in my family is (wife and 3 kids) I will not be heading out to perform any jobs until the sickness is gone. Luckily, no one in my home has been sick at all recently and we are all staying at home as much as possible and practicing social distancing per the government of Ohio. Being a locally-owned small business, you don’t have to worry about an “employee” of a major franchise showing up to clean your home or business. You have my personal guarantee that I will decline any job under the current Coronavirus pandemic if I or anyone in my family is sick at all. I always try to eat healthily and exercise regularly and take supplements daily – so I doubt this will be an issue – but rest assured I won’t even think about coming to your home or business if I’m not feeling well. Also, I will not be taking jobs for anyone who has someone currently sick in the home (fever, sneezing, coughing etc.).

Personal Protective Equipment – I am wearing new disposable gloves and shoe covers on every job. I put them on before I enter your home or business, throwing them away after I leave. I have masks available in my work van and if you or a family member are home during the cleaning, I will have my mask on – even though I am not sick. Of course, I always wash my hands as much as humanly possible and I use hand sanitizer before arriving at your establishment.

Social Distancing – The ideal situation would be for you to have your home cleaned when no one is home. I realize this is not possible for many people especially since there is nowhere to go right now except the grocery store basically. However, it is possible for anyone home to stay in a different room / area of the house from where I will be cleaning – so this is what I am recommending at the very least. Many of my customers are repeat customers or referrals who know me and my family and are comfortable leaving me in their home alone to clean their floors or furniture – this would be IDEAL during this time for both of us!

Online Payment – I take all forms of online payments including all major credit cards, Paypal and more. This eliminates cash or check  / physical transaction. Whilst I will still take cash or check, online payments are recommended during this time.

Disinfecting Equipment – After every job I disinfect all equipment with Clorox wipes or similar (bleach spray etc). Anything that comes into contact with any surface in your home has been disinfected prior to my arrival.

3. Green / Family Friendly Sanitizer for Carpet and other Surfaces

Spot-Free Floor Care offers Bioesque, a plant-based Botanical Disinfectant Solution that can be used on any surface including carpet.

While not specifically tested on the new strain of coronavirus yet (no cleaning agent has), here are some facts about it:

🧼 EPA Registered Broad-Spectrum Disinfectant

🧼 Kills 99.9% of Bacteria, Viruses*, Fungi & Molds

🧼 Bactericidal, Virucidal*, Tuberculocidal, and Fungicidal**

🧼 Disinfect, Sanitize, Clean, and Deodorize in ONE STEP

🧼 Kills, Destroys and Eliminates Household Germs

🧼 No Rinse Required, even on food contact surfaces!

4. If You Own a Business Now Might Be The BEST Time to Clean!

With most non-essential businesses shut down right now, it might be a good time to get your carpet, hard floors or upholstery cleaned. No employees or customers means it’s a good time to clean and get ready for the eventual re-opening!

Customers and employees will want clean conditions when your business reopens as people will still likely be practicing “social distancing” and any sign of uncleanliness or dirt will be sure to drive customers away even more so than before this Coronavirus outbreak.

As a special offer – if you schedule your commercial/business carpet cleaning during this coronavirus shut-down period I will give you $100 off the price of your cleaning!

We are open for business and ready to help you keep your home or business as clean and fresh as possible!
